Introducing Ogden Chiropractors

Dr. Mark Brixey

I grew up in a house that didn't believe in chiropractic. I always thought that chiropractors were just back specialists and did not do anything other than help people with low back problems.

Dr. Mark BrixeyWhile attending college I would have a headache almost everyday and it became "normal" for me to take Tylenol twice a day. I went on like this for sometime until I decided to go to a medical doctor. He said it was from the long hours of study that I would do for my classes. He prescribed me muscle relaxors and sent me on my way. I took the muscle relaxers for about a month and did not notice any change. So I went back to doing the Tylenol regimen. I did that for over a year.

I had the opportunity to talk to a chiropractor and much to my amazement they help conditions other than just low back pain. I started seeing the chiropractor and after a month the headaches had reduced to only 1-2 a week and after two months of adjustments the headaches were completely gone. I can not explain how much relief it was not to have to plan my day around headaches. My chiropractor also explained what damage over the counter pain medication can do if taken over a long period of time.

The benefits I received from chiropractic care made me want to be able to relieve someone else's pain and discomfort. I decided to become a chiropractor. I truly believe that chiropractic care is for the entire family. I enjoy it when I am able to treat a family. I have adjusted 12 month old children to 85 year old grandpa's.

Dr. Michael Graves

Dr. Michael GravesI was born in Ogden, Utah and have lived in Utah for most of my life. I went to Weber High School and then served an LDS mission in Chihuahua, Mexico. I received a bachelor's degree from Weber State University and then a doctorate degree in chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota. I have returned home to Utah and joined Dr. Brixey in providing chiropractic care here in Ogden.

I have been married to Tiffany Farr for 8 years and we have three wonderful children. Caleb is 6, Garrett is 4 and Taylor is 1. We live in Huntsville, Utah and enjoy the area very much. I grew up playing sports and still enjoy playing as often as time allows. I played football and ran track in high school and played volleyball at Weber State. I also enjoy being outdoors, especially camping, fishing and bird watching. When I am not at work I try to be outside.

The Graves Family

As a chiropractor, I specialize in restoring joint mobility and improving soft tissue function with special application to sports. I enjoy working with athletes and helping them perform at their best. The chiropractic adjustments keep the joints mobile and allow the greatest range of motion. The muscle work, things like muscle stripping, stretching and strengthening, allow the athlete to get the most out of their body and perform at a high level. These techniques are also very beneficial for any other joint or muscle problem you may encounter. I would love to sit down with you and see how we can help you.
